Food, Product & Commercial Photographer

Pacific Northwest & Beyond

Your product is incredible.

Your photos should be too.

But the RIGHT photos change everything…

Whether you need scroll-stopping social content, polished e-commerce images, or a full brand story told across multiple touchpoint - I bring the same obsessive attention to detail in my commercial work that I do with everything else I shoot.

I’ve been doing this behind the scenes for years… with my macro photography, on retainer for local brands, in my studio with national product companies, at restaurants, at weddings & events, even at a NASCAR race. So I decided it’s finally time to make it official.

This is actually where it all started.

Back in 2007 I was selling handcrafted reborn dolls on eBay and my photos were terrible… and my auctions weren’t ending as high as other sellers. I knew my work was better than my images were showing, so I started teaching myself lighting and composition and posing. That obsession with making products look as good as they actually are is still what drives me today. Read more of my story…

Seventeen years later, I understand something most photographers don’t: commercial photography isn’t just about technical skill. It’s understanding a brand’s voice, its customers, and the feeling it needs to create. I don’t just show up and shoot. We work together to figure out what your images need to say.

Every brand has a story.
Let me help you tell yours.

If you have a project in mind, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s figure out if we’re a good fit.

Three ways we can do this…

Documentary

I show up, I observe, I capture.

Very little direction or staging…
just real moments as they happen.
This is the style I use for restaurants, coffee stands, events, and any brand environment where the authentic experience IS the story.
You won’t hardly know I’m there.

Collaborative

We plan together.

Location, props, styling, direction… everything is intentional. This is where the magic happens for product launches, seasonal campaigns, brand lifestyle shoots, and anything that needs a specific look and feel.

Product

Just me and your product.

Creative compositions, intentional lighting, total focus on making your product look its absolute best.

Local? Drop it off. Not local? Ship it my way and we'll handle the rest over phone calls or Zoom.

Let's figure out what your project needs.

Commercial photography isn't one-size-fits-all, and that's what makes it so much fun!

Scope, location, usage rights, and timeline all factor into pricing. Some projects are single sessions, while others are ongoing retainers. Some happen at local businesses here in the Pacific Northwest, or it may involve shipping your product to my studio so we can collaborate over the phone or Zoom from anywhere in the world.

If you have a project in mind (even just a vague idea) I'd love to hear about it.

A partnership…

six years in the making.

In 2018 I photographed a Shark Tank style competition called Smart Tank. One of the contestants was a sweet gal named Callie Carpenter, pitching her homemade gluten-free cookies. She won. I got to eat one of her very first commercially packaged cookies that day and we stayed connected.

Six years later I saw a Facebook post that PNW Cookie Co was looking for a brand photographer. Sooo I slid into Callie's DMs! She responded immediately: "Why didn't I think of you first?"

That was a year and a half ago. Since then we've built a collection of nearly a thousand images across seasons, flavor launches, lifestyle campaigns, coffee stand documentation, and yes - a NASCAR pit lane at Portland International Raceway when they sponsored an Xfinity Series driver.

Her business has grown. And our partnership has grown with it.

Commercial photography doesn't have to be transactional. When it's working the way it should, it feels more like a collaboration between two people who both care deeply about the outcome. That's what I'm always going for.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely. I’ve driven 3 hours to a restaurant shoot, and to Oregon for a NASCAR race brand activation, so distance isn’t a deal breaker. Any travel expenses beyond my local area get factored into your custom quote so there are no surprises.

  • Yes! If you’re looking for ongoing brand photography… monthly content, seasonal campaigns, or a long-term partnership… we can get creative with a retainer structure that works for both of us. Clients who commit to six months or a year typically see better rates than one-off sessions. Let’s talk about what consistency looks like for you brand.

  • Every commercial project is custom quoted based on scope, style, location, deliverables, and timeline. There’s no one-size-fits-all rate sheet because no two projects are the same, and I’d rather give you an accurate quote than a number that doesn’t reflect what your project actually needs. The best first step is a free consultation so I can understand your vision and give you a real number.

  • It depends on the scope of the project, but typically anywhere from 24 hours to two weeks. Time-sensitive projects are absolutely something I take into consideration during the quoting process, so if you need quick turnaround - just tell me upfront and we’ll plan for it.

  • I'm based in Napavine and primarily serve Western Washington and the PNW, but I'm absolutely open to traveling further for the right couple. Hawaii weddings are my fav 😍

Additional travel fees may apply depending on distance, but we'll sort all of that out during our consultation!

  • Commercial usage rights are included with every session. You can use your images for social media, websites, marketing materials, advertising, and beyond. I do retain the copyright to my images for use in my own portfolio and marketing. If you’re interested in full copyright transfer, that’s something we can discuss and factor into your quote.
